Fender American Precision Bass

The American Series Precision Bass guitar that everyone knows and loves is better than ever! The new S1 switching system makes this an extremely versatile bass that gives players an array of cool new sounds, and it comes in  some fantastic new colors and finishes!

Features include a solid alder or ash body (depending on color) and graphite-reinforced, modern C-shaped maple neck with satin polyurethane finish (available with maple or rosewood fingerboard). With the S-1 system, you can switch the split single-coil pickup from series to parallel, giving the bass a brighter, snappier tone similar to that of a Jazz Bass guitar.

Such simple elegance continues today. Our Standard Precision Bass guitar features a comfort-contoured body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, single split-coil hum-canceling pickup and knurled chrome American Precision Bass knobs.

Fender Active P Bass Special

For bassists who dig today’s active lifestyle, Fender offers the stylish and thunderous Deluxe Series Active P Bass Special guitar.

This huge-sounding hybrid model features an alder body adorned with a single-ply beveled gold vinyl pickguard and a maple Jazz Bass guitar neck (modern C shape) with a 20-fret, 9.5”-radius rosewood or maple fingerboard. On board are a standard alnico split single-coil Precision Bass pickup (middle) and a dual-coil ceramic Noiseless™ Jazz Bass pickup with nickel-plated pole pieces (bridge) with pan-pot switching.

Controls are master volume, pan, and three-band active EQ with treble boost/cut (+/- 10 db at 8kHz, a shift in the cut frequency, and about a 2dB slope per octave), mid boost/cut (+10dB, -15dB at 500Hz, and a wide band slope) and bass boost/cut (+/- 12db at 40Hz, with a 4dB slope per octave). Other features include chrome hardware, American Vintage Precision Bass bridge, side-mounted jack and deluxe gig bag. Truly an amazing instrument.

Our versatile American Jazz Bass guitar features the innovative S1 switching system, which gives you great Jazz Bass and Precision Bass® guitar tones from one instrument.

Pushing the S-1 switch reconfigures the pickup wiring from parallel to series, resulting in a fatter, almost humbucking sound similar to that of a Precision. Other features include a solid alder or ash body (depending on color) and a graphite-reinforced, modern C-shaped maple neck with a satin polyurethane finish and maple or rosewood fingerboard.

Fender Standard Jazz Bass

On its early ’60s introduction, the Fender Jazz Bass guitar immediately endeared itself to the music world, quickly becoming another Fender design classic and an indispensable element in the arsenal of many a bassist worldwide.

Our lean-and-mean Standard Jazz Bass incorporates many of the original model’s classic Fender “firsts,” such as the offset waist and ultra-slim fast-action neck. It’s updated here with two bi-pole pickups and American Jazz Bass knobs, giving you the best of both worlds and eras—some vintage vibe and appointments with some modern refinements.
